SSP4ALL’S History

It started with a question

It all started in 2023 with a post on a local South St. Paul neighborhood Facebook page: “Does anyone out there want to come together and celebrate our (LGBTQ+) community?” That simple concept led to three of us meeting at a local coffee shop to plan an event of some sort. What started out as a “party planning committee” quickly snowballed into the idea that we may actually be able to make a difference in the lives of our LGBTQ+ community here in South St. Paul.

We became an official nonprofit on March 12th, 2024. We held a public meeting at the newly opened Kaposia Library in South St. Paul on March 13th, 2024, to find others who shared in our vision for our LGBTQ+ advocacy organization.

We grew and changed, adding volunteer staff and starting a board of directors in 2025.

We continue to grow and expand our reach through events like Pride and community outreach. We hope you'll join us on our mission to make South Saint Paul a welcoming and inclusive place.
